About the artist:
Through video and installation, Taree Mackenzie explores the perceptual effects of colour, light and space. Using simple lighting tricks and abstract forms, she aims to inspire a sense of wonder and surprise by prompting the viewer out of their habitual modes of looking.

Taree Mackenzie completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Painting) at the Victorian College of the Arts in 2008. She has participated in solo and group exhibitions both in Melbourne and interstate.

Taree exhibited a solo exhibition at West Space in 2011, and in 2013 showed work as part of History is our Audience, curated by Kelly Fliedner at West Space.
